A great starting place for those brand new to sewing, or who have forgotten what they once learned.

Working with woven fabrics you'll create 3 projects that give you the skills to participate in higher level classes.

  • Machine features and how to use them
  • Threading/ unthreading the machine
  • Winding a bobbin
  • Sewing straight seams  
  • Pinning fabric for sewing
  • Machine hemming
  • Sewing around corners
  • Mitered corners
  • Making a casing
  • Inserting a drawstring

WHAT YOU'LL MAKE

A baby blanket, a pillowcaseand a drawstring bag.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Everything is provided for you, so no need to run to the fabric store and hoping you bought the right thing!

Everyone has their own sewing machine, a set of take-home instructions, practice sheets, muslin, and all fabrics, thread, and notions for all projects.
