CLASS DETAILS

If you've never used a sewing machine, then this is the class for you! This is a pre-requisite for all other classes on the sewing machine.

You will complete 3 projects: a cotton pillowcase, a flannel baby blanket, and a cotton drawstring bag.

In this class, you will learn to:

• thread the machine

• wind a bobbin

• make a rolled hem with mitered corners on your baby blanket while you get used to a 5/8" seam allowance

• learn to pin correctly

• sew in the round on the pillowcase

• make a casing for your drawstring bag (this is the same way you make an elastic waist for your PJs)

These skills lay a strong foundation for you to build on with future sewing projects.
