CAMP DETAILS

In the morning, come make a cute crochet granny square shoulder bag! We’re so excited to offer our first-ever crochet camp now that the craft has become more and more popular.

In this intro to crochet camp you will learn all the basic stitches: single, half double, double, triple, puff, and bobble stitch. With these stitches you will be able to make a granny square.

A granny square is such a classic design in crochet and it is used in so many projects. With your granny square you can hang it up to admire your hard work, sew it on a clothing item, or make more to sew them all together in a bigger project, like a blanket or sweater.

Our goal in this camp is to make two granny squares and turn them into a crossbody bag with a strap. How cool is that?

After making this bag you’ll know all the fundamental basics in crochet. Some people may have time to make even more!

In the afternoon, we’ll show you how to bring your ideas to life on the page with instruction from a real fashion designer who has used these same skills in the industry. Learn about the different types of clothing and fabrics and how to draw them.

Each day we’ll cover a new topic, from tops to bottoms to dresses. Use what you’ve learned to design and draw your very own outfits! Learn about color and shading while using colored pencils and markers.

This is going to be so much fun!
